Entity Locked

Is there any other way to unlock an entity ? We have been experiencing this quite often now. I tried through the admin module to have all the 3 option available to unlock the session but to no avail. The entity is still locked. Anyone... please

Our company is currently using INtools version 6 (06.06.00.06).

Re: Entity Locked

I agree with your statement that clear locking is not working very well in admin module.

there are two kinds of locking.

1. Oracle Locking lever – for unlock you need to restart the instance service or restart the Oracle server.

2. Intools Locking – when all the user out run the following command when you connect to domain schema:

    Truncate table current_info;

Re: Entity Locked

Dear Ilan,

In our company, I have no access to the oracle server terminal and therefore I have to inform the right person to restart the server. It normally works. The reason send you the query because I thought you may have other option.

Nonetheless, I run the suggested command and I have the error. See below. Any idea why?

----------------------------------------------------------

Result Code:
-1
The number of rows affected:
0
Database vendor's error code:
54
The database vendor's error message:
ORA-00054: resource busy and acquire with NOWAIT specified

The database-vendor specific:

Re: Entity Locked

Hi,

make sure that everybody hasn't got INtools started up. This means that the table is busy and not available for you at the moment. If everybody left the database, you will be able to perform the truncate.

Regards,

Wijnand

Re: Entity Locked
Thanks Wijnand. I have 85 domains for each our facilities. The locking is existed in one of the domain. Do you mean no users should login to that particular domain only or you mean no users should ever login to any of the 85 domains at any time during executing of the truncate statement. Also please explain what is that statement do to the unlocking issue. Have a good weekend to all.
